KWIMBO
KWIMBO charity is a UK-based charity devoted to the relief of poverty, disability and sickness, the promotion of good health and the advancement of education in Zambia. It was established in 2018 and is registered in the United Kingdom and in Zambia.
The word KWIMBO is derived from the Luchazi tribe of North Western province of Zambia and means home. It was created in memory of Chinyundu Cuthbert Chipala I (1933-2007) who resided in Kabompo and opened his home to all who needed it – serving his family & community throughout his life. KWIMBO is a home of service for anyone in need, regardless of their gender, orientation, age, or background.
Following the footsteps of Jesus Christ, the charity aims to act as the bible instructs; “To do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.” Isaiah 1:17
We work directly with Zambian women and youth whilst also supporting grassroot organisations to continue serving underserved members of community including victims of gender-based violence and disabled persons.
We accept support at all levels and welcome you to join us Kwimbo.
